Our Mission
To be the gold standard in Workers’ Compensation by delivering quality medical care and transparent communication. No over-utilization and no over-billing; COMP provides only the best in occupational healthcare to ensure that our patients and partners receive the best care and treatment.
Our Vision
To be a recognized leader in the field of Occupational Medicine by continually innovating, improving, and evolving to provide our partners the best service possible.
Our Commitment to You
For over 20 years, Central Occupational Medicine Providers, or COMP, has taken an aggressive and comprehensive approach in providing complete medical treatment for work-related injuries. This has led to a dramatic reduction in the cost of workers comp claims for our clients. COMP is proud to be the largest 100% Occupational Only Healthcare Provider in Southern California.
Our goal at COMP is to provide the highest level of medical care to your injured workers by utilizing professional and complete medical management in order to return the injured workers to their normal level of work functionality as quickly as possible. The overall benefits include: maintaining high morale, sustainable income for the injured employee, decreased lost work time, lowering of claim reserves, control of indemnity costs, and ultimately drastically reducing workers’ compensation costs and premiums.
COMP has always prided itself in achieving the goal of excellent case management most cost-effectively. This is in line with our simple, yet powerful philosophy of practicing honest medical practices – no over-billing, no over-utilization, no unnecessary expenses. Our extensive experience in occupational healthcare for two decades has been vital in developing effective treatment plans that benefit patients and employers. Our effective diagnosis and treatment plans have reduced the length of treatment cycles, resulting in the prompt release of patients to return to work. This has contributed to COMP’s excellent reputation in the workers compensation industry, with regular referrals from insurers seeking to help their clients reduce costs.
At COMP, we understand the importance of communication and proper documentation as they are key components of effective case management and case defensibility. Our primary treating physicians’ Progress Reports (PR-2) and work statuses are e-mailed immediately following the first injury visit, as well as with any follow up visits.
You, your staff, and your adjusters can access our system where you may obtain the First Report of Injury, work status, and progress reports with approximate duration of treatment, as well as customized reports tailored to your needs such as Case Status Reports, Case Logs, and even your OSHA 300 Log. All this is available via our proprietary web based system that we pioneered in 2005.
COMP also offers many other services related to occupational medicine such as pre-employment, return to work and DOT physicals, respirator/mask fit, pulmonary function testing as well as a full array of drug and alcohol testing to name a few. COMP may even, in certain cases, conduct background checks on previously litigated workers compensation cases to screen for permanent work restrictions that may affect the ability of a potential employee in performing the essential functions of the job that they are applying for.
At COMP, we don’t just make promises, we deliver and prove it!over
